With swollen, sleepy eyes, a tired body, and an excited mindset; I decided to write this post instead of delaying. It's better late than never, even though the HiveBeeCon event is now past. When I learned about the HiveBeeCon event, I instantly decided to go. I knew I had to face a few challenges but my confusing mind somehow wanted to go to Poland again. Yes, the first HiveBeeCon location was in Krakow, Poland. I have never been to Krakow before even though I stayed in Ruda Slaska and Katowice for a month after fleeing the Ukraine war. I heard a lot about Krakow so HiveBeeCon was a great opportunity for me to visit Poland and Krakow. Poland is like my third home, I was able to make connections with this country when I was in Ruda Slaska. I don't know why but I personally love my time being in Poland and Polish people.
After considering the pros and cons, I decided not to think much and booked flights to Krakow, Poland from the Netherlands at the last moment. Yes, flights even though I had several options to go to Poland. Considering my health I took the decision to book flights instead of thinking about the cost. I am glad I made the right decision because, by train or bus, it takes around 17-18 hours to reach Poland from the Netherlands. I have experience traveling to the Netherlands from Poland by road so I know. I didn't want to take extra stress and I knew with my tiring body, I wouldn't be able to enjoy HiveBeeCon.
Gigi was someone I know and he took care of Gigi before when I went on vacation to Switzerland. Somehow I knew Gigi was with the right person but yes, a few things happened when I was in Poland that I came to know today. I am keeping that story for other days.
My flight time was 6th October, 11.00 am and I was traveling with @blind-spot. I checked in online and received my boarding pass earlier (before 24 hours) but knowing the condition of Schiphol Amsterdam Airport and its staff storage, we decided to go to the airport early morning around 6.30 a.m. From Almere city to Schiphol Amsterdam Airport, it takes 45 minutes minimum by intercity train but unfortunately due to railway maintenance, from Almere to Schiphol Airport most of the train schedules were delayed. But we were not late as we decided to go earlier.
The airport was busy and when we reached the airport, we didn't feel that it was early morning. The security check-in area was crowded and I was happy that I didn't carry extra baggage. From the train station to our flight terminal and gate, it took another 30 minutes by walking. The airport was big and I was already feeling sleepy. My head was dizzy so we decided to have our breakfast and coffee at the airport.
After reaching the terminal gate for boarding, I decided to take a nap again. Well, I couldn't afford the direct flight to Krakow to my route was Amsterdam-Munich-Krakow because I booked flights late and it was already expensive. So, I was waiting to fly to Munich first and then transfer.
After 1.5 hours of waiting, boarding started and I got into the plane.
Took some photos from the window. Nice ariel view...
I was traveling by air after 7 years. My last flight was from Bangladesh to Ukraine and after that, I didn't fly basically. I never had any problem with flying by air but this time I noticed I was having so much pain in my left ear. Wi-Fi was available so I did a quick research and this happened because of air pressure and temperature. This symptom is known as Airplane ear (ear barotrauma). I was having it quite a lot.
I really enjoyed the blue sky, green ground, and horizon, it was beautiful to see. Well, I fell asleep after a while because I was sleepy. The travel time to Munich from Amsterdam was 1 hour 45 minutes so I had no reason to stay awake and tolerate the Airplane ear.
I was trying to keep myself out of stress and wanted to clear my head as well because I was overthinking about a few issues in life.
Finally reached Munich International Airport.
The Munich airport was not as busy and crowded as Schiphol Amsterdam Airport and I had enough time to transfer so I decided to take a look at the airport shops. I was not hungry but seeing all the food shops, I felt hungry again.
Most of the branded shops I have seen before so I was browsing duty-free shops and the price in Germany. Not much price difference with Holland.
You can get a nice massage after a long flight during transit time.
Duty-free and Food shops were quite busy...
Suddenly I saw a small souvenir corner so decided to increase my magnet collection. I have been collecting some souvenirs from all over the countries and cities I have visited and I am going to add souvenirs as long as possible. Most of them are freezer magnets.
A nice magnet of Munich city even though I didn't explore Munich :P. I got a 1 euro discount because of my passport :P. I am not European :D
I was so excited while waiting at Munich Airport because only a few hours left to reach Krakow, Poland. I was receiving tons of texts and my excitement was doubled. Time flew quickly and my flight call for boarding to Krakow arrived. Time to fly again...
One thing was in my mind -
"Poland (Krakow) I am coming again to make new memories... #Hivebeecon"
To be continued...
