There are days when my #life and the ephemeris of the #History of the day coincide in a peculiar way, today for example, I went out to buy pet food at the #supermarket, I spent some time shopping due to a couple of incidents at the cash register when paying, the young employee at the cashier was a novice, she was learning, that's not the bad thing, the bad thing is that while she was serving me, two different people arrived (a few minutes apart from each other) to ask him to review the account and the amount of money returned, alleging that it had errors, that did not look good.
Luckily a supervisor came up and helped the young woman to check quickly, the supervisor herself took out the accounts again and showed the people that each account was fine and that the amount of their balance was correct, she also found the reason for the confusion and kindly explained it to the customers. All this was done by the supervisor while she was also calming down the novice worker, she told her: 'Breathe, calm down and check. If you do things step by step, and carefully, it will be easier for you to review, and you will make fewer mistakes.’

Hay días en que mi #vida y la efemérides de la #Historia del día coinciden de una manera peculiar, hoy por ejemplo, salí a comprar comida para las mascotas en el #supermercado, pasé un rato en la compra debido a un par de incidentes en la caja registradora al momento de pagar, la joven empleada en la caja era novata, estaba en aprendizaje, eso no es lo malo, lo malo es que mientras me atendía llegaron dos personas distintas (con algunos minutos de separación entre una y otra) a solicitarle que revisara la cuenta y el monto de dinero del vuelto, alegando que tenía errores, eso no se veía bien.
Por suerte se acercó una supervisora y ayudó a la joven a revisar rápido, la supervisora misma sacó de nuevo las cuentas y mostró a las personas que cada cuenta estaba bien y que el monto de su saldo era correcto, también encontró el motivo de la confusión y se lo explicó amablemente a los clientes. Todo esto lo hizo la supervisora mientras que también calmaba a la trabajadora novata, le decía: ‘Respira, cálmate y revisa. Si haces las cosas paso a paso, y con cuidado, te será más fácil revisar y cometerás menos errores’.
Por suerte se acercó una supervisora y ayudó a la joven a revisar rápido, la supervisora misma sacó de nuevo las cuentas y mostró a las personas que cada cuenta estaba bien y que el monto de su saldo era correcto, también encontró el motivo de la confusión y se lo explicó amablemente a los clientes. At that moment, she needed the help of the supervisor again, because I was paying part of the account with cash and another part with the debit card, so she was not knowing how to charge that at the cash register, and with the explanation from the supervisor she learned how payment was processed that way.

Debo aclarar que en los casos que pidieron revisión, la supervisora pudo mostrar que no hubo error por parte de la empleada, y fue fácil de entender su explicación a los clientes. Me gustó su actitud, fue muy respetuosa, pero protegió y guio a la empleada, le mostró como hacer las revisiones de las cuentas de manera más rápida en la caja registradora y manejó todo con calma.
Cuando por fin me pudieron atender, la joven estaba un poco nerviosa (y un poquito molesta) con la gente que le dio el susto de que pudiera haberse equivocado en las cuentas, pero me atendió bien, sumó los productos y recibió el pago. Para ese momento necesitó otra vez la ayuda de la supervisora, porque yo estaba pagando una parte de la cuenta con efectivo y otra parte con la tarjeta de débito, así que ella estaba sin saber como cargar eso en la caja registradora y fue con la explicación de la supervisora que aprendió como se procesaba el pago de esa manera.

I must say that the supervisor seemed to me a good mentor, a kind, empathetic person, pleasant with the public and very willing to train her subordinate, I liked all these qualities. After paying my bill, I thanked the young lady and wished her the rest of the day better, to which she smiled sincerely and gave me a thumbs up.

Debo decir que la supervisora me pareció una buena mentora, una persona amable, empática, agradable con el público y muy dispuesta a entrenar a su subalterna, todas esas cualidades me gustaron. Luego de pagar mi cuenta, le agradecí a la joven y le deseé que le fuera mejor el resto del día, a lo que ella sonrió con sinceridad y me dio un pulgar arriba.
Bueno, resulta que al llegar a casa y revisar el listado de efemérides para el momento de redactar mi registro del día, me encuentro que es el Día del Trabajador de Supermercado, una fecha establecida por la The Food Industry Association para celebrar el trabajo de los #empleados de supermercados, #trabajadores de minimercados y afines, remarcando también en estos tiempos de pandemia su labor fundamental en la atención al público y como parte necesaria del sistema comercial.
Bueno, resulta que al llegar a casa y revisar el listado de efemérides para el momento de redactar mi registro del día, me encuentro que es el Día del Trabajador de Supermercado, una fecha establecida por la The Food Industry Association para celebrar el trabajo de los #empleados de supermercados, #trabajadores de minimercados y afines, remarcando también en estos tiempos de pandemia su labor fundamental en la atención al público y como parte necesaria del sistema comercial.
