It's Tuesday night, I'm waking up just recently, I've been having a day with chills and I think I have a cold, that would be normal, since we have a somewhat cold climate for the time of year in my current Venezuela. As I have been a bit unwell and with a heavy body, my brother is the one who has been awake, luckily I cooked early and the food for the day was made since morning, what we had to do was heat it up when eating.

If we don't count the discomfort, the apparent increase in body temperature, the nose with excess mucus, joint pain (between cold inner and cold weather, both things contribute to this problem) and so on, then it can be said that my day has ended been calm and quiet. At least personally, it's lucky I didn't have to go out today, because in this condition it wouldn't have been good.

I suppose that spending the day at home, more asleep than awake, and with a slight health problem, makes it better to record the day-to-day of my #Life up to this point and go on to comment on the ephemeris of #History for today that I have chosen and that has given the title to this post.

Es la noche del martes, estoy despertando apenas hace poco, he estado pasando un día con escalofríos y creo que tengo un resfriado, eso sería normal, ya que tenemos un clima que está un tanto frío para la época del año en mi #Venezuela actual. Como he estado un poco con malestar y con el cuerpo pesado, mi hermano es el que ha estado despierto, por suerte cociné temprano y la comida para el día estaba hecha desde la mañana, lo que teníamos que hacer era calentarla al momento de comer.

Si no contamos el malestar, el aparente incremento de temperatura corporal, la nariz con exceso de mucosidad, el dolor articular (entre el frío y el resfriado, ambas cosas colaboran para ese problema) y esas cosas, entonces se puede decir que mi día ha sido calmado y tranquilo. Al menos en lo personal, es una suerte que no tuviera que salir hoy, porque con esta condición no habría sido bueno.

Supongo que pasar el día en casa, más dormido que despierto, y con un ligero problema de salud, hace que sea mejor el registro del día a día de mi #Vida hasta este punto y pasar a comentar la efemérides de la #Historia para hoy que he escogido y que le ha dado el título a este post.

Today is Fettuccini Alfredo Day. I had no idea that a day like this existed in the calendar of celebrations and commemorations, seriously, I have thought throughout the elaboration of this record of mine that there are ephemeris for all kinds of things, some of those things have quite surprising result. It is true that there were quite a few events on today's calendar list, but I chose this event in particular because it reminds me of childhood #Foodie memories, when I was a child, and we used to go out as a family every few months, and we would go eat at a restaurant near where we lived, that place was rightfully called 'Fettuccine'. The part of the 'Alfredo' that has the preparation of the #pasta that is celebrated today in this #Food anniversary, is because of the sauce with which it is prepared, which originally had cheese and butter as its main ingredients, but I prefer to quote in this part Now to a couple of articles I read (in #Spanish) to complete the information:

This anniversary is relatively recent. Well, it began in 2015, as a tribute to its creator, Alfredo di Lelio, who was born on February 7.
And it is that this pasta is very appreciated and popular in the United States, and there, everything must have its own day on the calendar. But it is not only celebrated in the United States. Also in Italy we find events and celebrations on this day to commemorate this pasta dish. For example, at the Bio-Medical Campus of the University of Rome, this year more than 150 people have been invited to the celebration.

Alfredo sauce is a sauce for dressing pasta.
Originally it simply contained Parmesan cheese and butter, although nowadays, in addition to these ingredients, roux or milk cream is usually added. Some variants include parsley, garlic, egg, vegetable, seafood, or chicken.

Hoy es el Día del Fetuccini Alfredo. No tenía ni idea de que existía un día como este en el calendario de celebraciones y de conmemoraciones, en serio, he pensado a lo largo de la elaboración de este registro mío que hay efemérides para toda clase de cosas, algunas de esas cosas me han resultado bastante sorprendentes. Es cierto que había bastantes efemérides en el listado del calendario de hoy, pero escogí esta efemérides en particular porque me llevo a recuerdos de infancia, cuando era niño y salíamos en familia cada tantos meses y nos íbamos a comer en un restaurante cerca de donde vivíamos, ese lugar se llamaba justamente ‘Fettuccine’. La parte del ‘Alfredo’ que tiene la preparación de la #pasta que se celebra hoy en esta efemérides de #Comida, es por la salsa con que se prepara, que originalmente tenía como ingredientes principales queso y mantequilla, pero prefiero citar en esta parte ya a un par de artículos que leí (en español) para completar la información:

Esta efeméride es relativamente reciente. Pues se inició en el año 2015, como un homenaje a su creador, Alfredo di Lelio, quien nació un 7 de Febrero.
Y es que esta pasta es muy apreciada y popular en Estados Unidos, y allí, todo debe tener su propio día en el calendario. Pero no sólo se celebra en Estados Unidos. También en Italia encontramos eventos y celebraciones este día para conmemorar este plato de pasta. Por ejemplo, en el Campus Bio-Médico de la Universidad de Roma, este año se han invitado a más de 150 personas a la celebración.

La salsa Alfredo es una salsa para aderezar pastas.
