Greetings and good afternoon to all my dear friends. I hope you are all doing well on this beautiful day. This time I have returned to once again share a new story with you. In this case I have dedicated it to letter 98 Tazz. The story is about the importance of sometimes disconnecting in order to sometimes find something better. I won't give away any spoilers. I hope you like it. Without further ado, let's get started.

The most beautiful, nice, great, whatever you want to call it, is to have a relationship. But mind you, I'm not referring to the sentimental ones, although those are nice too. But Tazz has another kind of nice relationship, but in this case with his electronic devices. Let's say his phone, his console, his computer, among others. But even though this relationship is nice, it was one of those toxic relationships that you know is not right, but you know, there he continues, night after night, until three in the morning watching videos of cats doing ridiculous things, playing games and letting time pass. Above all, leaving aside the most important things. He no longer spends any time with his family, he doesn't have many friends and, most importantly, he doesn't make an effort to improve himself and find a job.
Lately, he's been doing poorly at university, so his teachers called his parents to tell him that it's very possible that he won't pass the year and end up expelled from school if he doesn't show his commitment to the career he wants to choose. Therefore his parents, who were some of his few friends, became very worried about him and decided that they had to talk to him kindly but clearly and effectively to decide what to do.
They sat him down on a chair and patiently explained to him everything that was happening so that he would recognize the damage he was doing to himself because of his obsession with devices. They made it very clear that they were not against him using them, they were just worried that he was not being a little balanced. They made him see how much he was directing his life. And to their surprise he also recognized it. He confessed to them that he did not feel useful and that even though he spent all his time on the things he liked, he felt a little empty. His parents knew that changing a way of life from one day to the next is not easy, so they made an agreement to change little by little.
They agreed that he would spend a week with devices and another without them. That way he would try the best of both worlds little by little. Tazz agreed because he knew how much it would benefit him to give his life a 360-degree turn. Well, he waited until Monday to start the week in good shape. That day was quite frustrating for him, he couldn't touch his phone for the whole day. In fact, his parents put it away for him to prevent him from succumbing to the temptation of playing games again. Those first few hours, he seemed like a zombie, no Wi-Fi, no games, no devices. He didn't know what to do. But his father came into his room and gave him a book. It was about starting a business.
With that book, his spirits began to calm down. He spent the rest of the day reading the book. It was such a nice feeling to read, it had been years since he had done it for his own pleasure. In addition, the content of the book was very instructive, so he learned a lot that day about business and the importance of always having a plan B when things go wrong. All this knowledge would be useful in the future, which he didn't know yet. It took him about 3 days to read the entire book, it was a very enriching experience. Although he didn't have his business yet, he now felt more desire to do something with his life, to undertake something. The truth is that this time of isolation without devices was giving its first signs of success.
The best was yet to come, that would be the one that would cause the biggest change in his life. It turns out that when the book was finished on the third day, he asked his mother for a new one. But there were no more books on economics or business left, instead she gave him one that she had bought a long time ago. That one was about learning to play the saxophone. Tazz had never been interested in music up until this point, but that was about to change.
This book taught him the basic theory of how to play the saxophone, and it was very interesting to him. Especially since he had never read a book about music up until this point. He spent 2 more days reading that book, practically spending the whole day reading it. He loved the way the saxophone was played, and he also liked some of the history surrounding it. But now there was a problem. What good was all that theory if he couldn't put it into practice? So he told his father how he felt. His father was overjoyed to learn that he had become so interested in this instrument.
That's why he told him not to worry, that in a few hours he would go to a store to buy a second-hand saxophone. After a while he brought it to him. Tazz couldn't believe it, his father had spent all that money, because it had cost a lot just so that he could benefit and leave behind his meaningless and sedentary life. So he thanked him very much and promised him that he was really going to keep trying and now he would learn to play this instrument. He spent the rest of the week learning to play. Everything he learned in the book he put into practice. He realized that he actually had talent for what he was doing.
So he decided to learn more seriously. When the week without devices was over his parents gave him his phone back again. But this time he didn't use it to waste time. Instead this time he started using it to see how to learn even more to play the saxophone. The truth is that in the following weeks, the solo without help from anyone else left the devices in the background, now his top priority had become learning to play.
Weeks and months went by and before he knew it, he already knew how to master this instrument very well. The teachers called his parents to school again to tell them that they were very happy with Tazz's progress, because he was now more diligent and much more correct in what he did. In fact, they recommended that once he got his degree, he should start a career as a saxophonist. And that was exactly what Tazz wanted. His parents were very happy with the result.
None of this would have been possible if Tazz's parents hadn't gotten involved. If it weren't for them he would still be locked in his room wasting his youth and without a clear goal in what he wanted. But now he had a bright future ahead of him as a Saxophonist. Again I say thank you to his parents and to him taking it seriously. Let's never hesitate to disconnect ourselves too.
Dear friends and with this we end today's story. I hope you liked it. If that was the case I would love to read your opinions in the comments. See you in a next story, thank you very much for reading. Have a great day.
