It turns out that yesterday I was walking around some relatives' house, when I arrived I started to help them with some work around the house and as always they played music to keep up the good mood and that's when I met today's song. I asked them what the name of the song was and they didn't even know how to tell me haha😀, they just play it randomly from youtube.

Then I used the google tool that is used to search for music based on a small recording and there I could find all the details and who the singers were. Now that you know a little bit of the context I'll get to the point. First of all, the 2 authors of today's song are Nicki Nicole and Luck Ra. If you don't know who they are, they are very famous singers in Spanish music, both are from Argentina. The song was released this week, it's called “Doctor”. I think there is no need to translate the name into English because the word is spelled the same in both languages, so you already know what it means.

By the way the song is of a curious genre also because it is not what the 2 singers usually sing. They are more of the urban genre, you know the music that is more fashionable these days in the Spanish-speaking world. In this case the song is a cumbia song, that is to say a genre made to dance or to play at parties. Generally they are usually very lively songs so that everyone who is listening to them can take a few steps haha😀. You know, as I understand it, this is the first time that these two singers come together in a song.

At least I had not heard them sing together before. I looked for information and it is certainly so, it is the first collaboration together. From this I can tell you that I hope it will not be the last because they have done a very good job. I liked it, even though cumbia is not one of my favorite genres. But when there is something good you have to recognize it.

The message they want to leave in the song is something typical but the way they did it is what I like. So that's where the doctor comes in. The name of the song is because in the lyrics of the song it mentions that not even a doctor can cure you of a pain like that, you know from the loss of love. I think with that message it will connect with a lot of people. The theme of the song is very recurrent nowadays.

Besides the lyrics I think its other strong point is the rhythm of the song itself. As I told you it's cumbia so the normal thing is that you get to dance a little with it. In my case I'm not much of a dancer, I have to say, I'm like a troco, I can't move haha. I leave that part of dancing to the party people, but I'm not saying that mentally or imaginary I have danced haha. I think it's a cumbia that combines the best of both artists.
