Dear friends, as I told you before, we start first with my opinions about some musical news. In today's case they are related to a very important band. I say important because many of us and our generation grew up listening to their music, so it is a bit nostalgic and interesting to talk about them. In my case for as long as I can remember they have been making music, so they are definitely veterans of this. My people I'm referring to the band Blink-182.

I'm sure more than one will agree with what I said before. In my personal case they have been making music since even before I was born haha😀, so I have literally grown up listening to their music. Well again getting to the point, a few days ago they practically released two new songs that are very interesting, both for the music itself and for the meaning. They are called All in My Head and No Fun.

The first thing before going into any details about the songs is that these 2 are part of something bigger as they are previews of the second part of their previous album One More Time. If you don't know it was an album released in 2023, that is to say last year. Many people liked that album and more than one was left wanting more. Well, that desire after a year or more of waiting is going to materialize first by these 2 songs that are the 2 previews and because according to what I was seeing in networks there is already a date to release the second part of the album.

On instagram the band has uploaded several publications that indicate that it will be this coming September 6, that is to say this week, so we will not have to wait long. It is also known that it will have 8 songs, now I want to clarify that I do not know if those 8 will be extras to these 2 or if they are included within the 8. In case it is the former it would be 10 songs. We will see in a few days haha😅.

Now coming back to the 2 songs that are the main topic of the news, I want to tell you a little bit about their meaning. I already tell you that they are particular. Let's start with All in My Head. According to it you can clearly hear how somehow the singers want to open our minds to make us understand how hard it is to be on tour. See I told you that it was a particular theme of the band, you could say that they are telling us their own experience. The lyrics in itself what it says is that touring can be a kind of mental torture for the singers. Especially because they cause them Anxiety.

About this specific song I can say that the rhythm is intense, and it is obvious since we are talking about punk. By the way the song has a music video, which was officially uploaded to youtube 10 days ago. Now I have to clarify that it is not a music video as such, but a karaoke with the lyrics so you can sing along. Maybe later they will release a song with a more elaborate video, maybe after the release of the album, but don't pay too much attention to me because these are just my assumptions, we will have to wait and see.

In the case of the other song No Fun to my interpretation is like a kind of time travel. I say this because here what they are looking for with the song is to make us remember the good days of 90's punk, you know when the band started, that's why I say it's like a trip back in time. It also talks a little bit about how that genre has changed in the last few years. I think it's very interesting as well as the first one. I realize that both are to address issues of the band and their concerns, so I see both as very original.
