Today was our first real walk in months, and let me tell you, it felt amazing—even if we had to freeze before we could defrost!
We bundled up and headed out into the crisp, cold air. The frost painted everything white, and the frozen grass crunched under our feet. The kind of weather where you can feel your breath in the air and your face slowly turning numb. But I have to say, walking in this winter wonderland was totally worth it, especially with @borniet by my side.
We didn’t walk fast, and we didn’t walk far. It wasn’t about the distance today, but more about getting out there, moving again, and simply enjoying the moment. After months of not walking, it felt so good to stretch our legs and take in the peaceful surroundings. And let’s be honest, good company makes all the difference.
There’s something about walking in the cold that clears your mind. The frozen air wakes you up, the quiet landscape slows you down, and before you know it, you’re just enjoying the rhythm of your steps. No rush, no destination—just the joy of moving forward.
Sure, we were frozen by the end of it, but a warm coffee afterward made everything right again.
I’m so glad we took this first step today. It reminded me that, no matter how long it’s been, it’s never too late to start again. And this walk? It’s just the beginning. Looking forward to many more walks—and hopefully slightly warmer ones!
Here’s to freezing toes, fresh air, and good company.
