The feeling as if God is far from us does not come from God. It is we ourselves who take a road that is far away from God. God is always near. He has not been far away from us before. He created us so that He can have fellowship with us. He wants us to relate with Him as a father and his children. God has never left us alone. He is always with us.
Many people in the world have no regards for God. They disregard his commandments and instructions. They do not value Him. It is not as if God is far from them. It is because they have made up their minds to dishonour God. To such people, they no feeling in them that brings the awareness of God to them.
They are those who actually know that God exists but their constant indulgence in sin keeps them far from God. God is to holy to mingle with sin. Those who name the name of the Lord must depart from iniquities. If we want to see God always around us, let us keep His commandments. Let us obey His instructions.
