Today is the 17th match day of @poliac season 19 - halfway through. As of writing, I am the leader, but that will not last long.
My schedule seemed to group opponents logically. For a starter I had a victorious match over my “neighbour” @sk1920 (20km in the @poliac world is really neighbourhood!). Then I had to face four former champions (@danmaruschak, @bucipuci, @manuvert and @browery) in a row. I survived that with a 2:2 record.
Next, the schedule put me against 7 players from the lowest part of the standings. 7:0. Easy times were followed by 3 players from places 4 to 6. (@new.things, @davidthompson57 and @fredkese). I came out with a 2:1 from that. It was tough, as I had to make 30k on three working days in a row. Now I am facing 3 fellow Polish speakers, who sit right in the middle of the standings. 1:1 so far vs @racibo and @cezary-io over the weekend and playing against @ptaku today. This group will be continued tomorrow - my first match of the second round is against @racibo again.
I need to check whether there are any patterns in the upcoming matches.
