Is Entrepreneurship A Solution To Unemployment? [ENG/ESP]

In the school where I serve as a one-year teacher (an obligation to my country), they are having their end of session party and one of the activities promised to take place that day is a debate with the topic "Vocational skills are better than educational skills". As their English teacher, I have to guide them with the points they will use for each motion... I got to learn a lot more through this.

It actually birth this post topic as it got me wondering to an extent even though I didn't make it obvious to the kids. There were too many points for why vocational skills are better than educational skills but it didn't change the fact that educational skills are also important to acquire.

That brings me to the question I asked again which I already know the answer to... Is entrepreneurship a solution to unemployment?

In the world today, there's a high increase in unemployment (okay, maybe it's just my country) that many are beginning to look for ways to earn without actually looking for a job. Graduates leave school with no mind of getting a job as soon as possible because of the condition in the country, some who were lucky to have gotten a skill do not even bother at all.

Starting one's own business isn't easy but some risk it and find their own success somehow no matter how difficult the path may be for them. This has been the story for many graduates who were wise enough to think outside the four walls of schooling education and pushed ahead with what they learnt.

Entrepreneurship is a solution to unemployment, no doubt about it for the many reasons. A lady who lived across our home some years back, had graduated from school for many years with no job or personal business. She relied totally on getting a job someday that she refused to try anything else that could earn her money.

And another lady who lived close to her did just the opposite when a company job wasn't forth coming. After a few months, this neighbour was making lots of money in her fashion designing business that the one who refused to do anything applied to learn the business from her. It was interesting to watch how the two came to realize they had their brains to rely on and think outside the box.

All my life, I've seen more people using their skills to make money than those employed to companies or sectors to make money. Their work life isn't just different, even their lifestyle and what they earn differs and it is really impressive how much more some entrepreneurs earn at the comfort of their own business.

There will always be a better difference for entrepreneurs to employees and for the fact that it brings solution to many who don't get the chance to be employees, it is a good recommendation and one worth exploring. For me, I'm hoping to be an entrepreneur someday and I look forward to it. No relying on being an employee but if it comes, I could have other self employed work to do.

So what do you think about entrepreneurship being the solution to unemployment?

En el colegio donde me desempeño como docente por un año (obligación para con mi país), están de fiesta de fin de curso y una de las actividades prometidas para ese día es un debate con el tema "Vocacional Las habilidades son mejores que las habilidades educativas". Como su profesora de inglés, tengo que guiarlos con los puntos que usarán para cada movimiento... Aprendí mucho más a través de esto.

De hecho, fue el origen de este tema de publicación, ya que me hizo preguntarme hasta cierto punto, aunque no se lo hice obvio a los niños. Hubo demasiados puntos sobre por qué las habilidades vocacionales son mejores que las habilidades educativas, pero eso no cambió el hecho de que también es importante adquirir habilidades educativas.

Eso me lleva a la pregunta que volví a hacer y cuya respuesta ya conozco... ¿Es el espíritu empresarial una solución al desempleo?

En el mundo de hoy, hay un gran aumento en el desempleo (bueno, tal vez sea solo mi país) y muchos están comenzando a buscar formas de ganar dinero sin tener que buscar trabajo. Los graduados abandonan la escuela sin pensar en conseguir un trabajo lo antes posible debido a las condiciones del país, algunos que tuvieron suerte de haber adquirido una habilidad ni siquiera se molestan en absoluto.

Iniciar su propio negocio no es fácil, pero algunos se arriesgan y encuentran su propio éxito de alguna manera, sin importar cuán difícil pueda ser el camino para ellos. Esta ha sido la historia de muchos graduados que fueron lo suficientemente sabios como para pensar más allá de las cuatro paredes de la educación escolar y seguir adelante con lo que aprendieron.

El espíritu empresarial es una solución al desempleo, no hay duda de ello por muchas razones. Una señora que vivía frente a nuestra casa hace algunos años se había graduado de la escuela durante muchos años sin trabajo ni negocios personales. Ella confiaba totalmente en conseguir un trabajo algún día y se negaba a intentar cualquier otra cosa que pudiera ganarle dinero.

Y otra señora que vivía cerca de ella hizo todo lo contrario cuando no consiguió un trabajo en la empresa. Después de unos meses, esta vecina estaba ganando mucho dinero en su negocio de diseño de moda y el que se negó a hacer nada se postuló para aprender del negocio con ella. Fue interesante ver cómo los dos se dieron cuenta de que tenían su cerebro en el que confiar y pensar fuera de lo común.

Toda mi vida he visto a más personas utilizar sus habilidades para ganar dinero que aquellas empleadas en empresas o sectores para ganar dinero. Su vida laboral no sólo es diferente, incluso su estilo de vida y lo que ganan difieren y es realmente impresionante cuánto más ganan algunos empresarios desde la comodidad de su propio negocio.

Siempre habrá una mejor diferencia para los empresarios que para los empleados y por el hecho de que brinda solución a muchos que no tienen la oportunidad de ser empleados, es una buena recomendación y vale la pena explorarla. Para mí, espero ser emprendedor algún día y lo espero con ansias. No dependo de ser un empleado, pero si es así, podría tener otro trabajo por cuenta propia que hacer.
