Admiration Display - People In My Life I Approve

Contents like this, I love to write as I feel I'm showing appreciation to what matters to me and it's worth giving my attention to. I saw on someone's post title some minutes ago and I'll apply it here "The best way to appreciate what you have is to imagine your life without them" as it is same for not appreciating people you know are valuable in your life while you still have them.

There are people I once admired but are no more and there are a lot more I admire now that are helping keep my life in the happy state more often than I could do myself. Of course, I don't rely on anyone for my happiness but these people tend to give me more reason to be happy by just having them around.

I approve of them for who they are, what they've done and what they are doing for themselves and for people around them including me.

The first on my list are My Parents. Maybe it's because they are my parents and even though I didn't grow up with them living together, I've grown to admire some things about them that I can not simply deny because of the condition they put my siblings and I through. I've learned to accept that part of my life's story and I've also come to love some things about them I want to emulate by just watching them.

My dad's free and giving spirit is one I admire so much, how he shows compassion before he thinks about any other thing leaves me speechless sometimes. To show how much I admire this about him, I've asked him a few times why he feels it's best he helps someone who obviously wasn't appreciative of his help and his reply was "I do it for my happiness not theirs", isn't that admirable?

For my mum, it's how she is so organised and pursues the minimalist lifestyle that I approve of. I had always thought living good and happy would require much money until I lived with my mum for sometime to realize I don't need much to live life and to the fullest, mum is an example to that.

Another person I admire so much is my younger sister Hope, who I refer to as my hair stylist. She may be my younger sister but sometimes I see as an elder to me because of how smart and intelligent she can be. I think she got it from dad, the mind to show compassion to just anyone and feel so good about it. She is also very good at anything she decides to do, especially in her skill (hair dressing). I admire her for her works and the help she has given in the time we've been together up till now.

One more person I approve of is, Mrs Edafe, an inspiration. She isn't related to me in any way but we do attend same church services and I got closer to her when we were paired to do a survey for an upcoming activity. A day with her felt like a lifetime of new discoveries and admirations. From how motherly she is to her kids and everyone around her to how cautious she is in anything she does.

Her way of thinking keeps me in awe and I like that she is so talented, or do I say, multi talented. She would hardly get anything done with help from outside as she learns and know how to do things herself. It's even more admirable that her kids are learning from her and I am learning from her too.

There are more people I admire but I'll leave this list this way and keep living life showing appreciation to these people who make life more beautiful with their amazing being.

This is my entry to the June Inleo Prompt Challenge with Day 25 focus on "People you admire". Don't know what to write on Hive today? You're invited to participate.
