I got scared when I started this series, why?
I was on the second episode when I saw that it is still an ongoing series and there are only 12 episodes available to watch. It was recommended by a friend and she had sent the 12 episodes to me leaving me to find the rest although she didn't tell me.
I was both scared and not happy because I'll have to wait for a series after avoiding that kind of wait, it was too interesting to stop watching and it was heartbreaking to think of the wait after I'm done with the episodes I have.
Well, goodnews! The series ended in 12th episodes and Oh, what a perfect ending!
"Wedding Impossible" is a 2024 series with the genres "Comedy, drama and romance" but tell you what! The drama in this series is over the roof and some drama can be very funny which I think made the series fit into the comedy genre too. As you've read already, it's a series you could binge watch in one day as it has only 12 episodes although I saw it in two days.
Is it just me or there are movies we tend to be slow in seeing it so it doesn't end so quickly? Lol
This series was so good to see that I couldn't find any scene to skip or fast forward, I saw every scene second after second until the end and wished I had seen it long before I did.
I won't go into much details about the series so you'll enjoy whatever you will find there when you decide to see it but I must not end this review without showcasing the male lead, the brother in law who is against a wedding.
From the title, I thought I had predicated enough what the series would be about but it turned out to be a refreshing storyline for a regular kinda title. Introducing me to new faces like the female lead and the brother to the male lead, I liked their role and I plan to check out their other series.
As for the male lead, the first time I saw him was in a historical Korean series titled "Under The Queen's Umbrella" and even though I didn't like him so much there, the love grew so fast after I saw him on this series. His role in this series may have contributed to why I like him more now.
The grand son of a Chaebol family whose secret determination is to make his elder brother take over the company and make him marry a lady who would give more power to the seat. Only for his brother to come home with a regular girl he wants to marry in order to hide a secret. He is bent on making the marriage not happen until he falls in love with his almost sister in law and things took a different turn for him and his dreams.
Would the wedding eventually hold regardless? Did the brother come out with his secret? Were there dark past stories to be revealed? You'll have to see the series to find out.
The supporting characters were good too, I especially like the friends and family to the female lead and how supportive they were to her, it felt almost real. It's a romance series but I feel they didn't give much screen time to that side of the storyline which didn't make it any bad to watch though.
Most importantly, I like how unique the storyline is but I read it is from a webtoon and even at the end, a character who is writer launched the book "Wedding Impossible" to show a successful beginning for him and his family.
It's a series worth seeing and with anyone, especially for family as it has a lot of lessons to give too. I'll rate it 9/10, I enjoyed it totally!
