Last year my cucumber plants didn't grow at all, only at the very end, when I had already stopped watering, did the first cucumber appear. Otherwise there were only male flowers. I had a hundred or more of them. I'm not exaggerating, it was certainly closer to two hundred over the weeks.
This year I already had some male flowers, so you could see tiny cucumbers. Unfortunately, nothing has come of them yet.
Now I finally have a cucumber that will probably grow into something, because it's already a good 10 cm long. I hope that it will continue to grow nicely and maybe the others will also grow into something. After all, the sun should shine more and it should get warmer. There are still some male flowers on it, tiny cucumbers.
I also harvested a few radishes again today. One of them was really big. The rest in the raised bed still has a little growing to do. Enough for the mixed salad we're about to eat.
My zucchini plant continues to grow nicely. The first flowers can already be seen. But it will be a few more days before they open.
I think the lower flower in the picture even has a zucchini on it, so it's a female flower. I'm almost afraid that it will be open and not a male flower by then, so that it can't be pollinated. But we'll see.

Unfortunately, it's been a long time since I picked up any garbage and posted it here. But I also have to say that there hasn't been a polystyrene lid lying around for a long time.
That's also a positive thing.
Even if it was just the packaging of a croissant, a can and a long piece of plastic, it still helps our environment.

letztes Jahr ist aus meinen Gurkenpflanzen gar nichts geworden, erst ganz zum Schluss, als ich schon aufgehört hatte zu gießen, kam die erste Gurke. Sonst waren es nur männliche Blüten. Davon hatte ich hundert und mehr. Ich übertreibe nicht, es waren sicherlich eher zweihundert über die Wochen.
Dies Jahr hatte ich bereits einige männliche Blüten, also winzige Gurken konnte man sehen. Leider wurde daraus bisher nichts.
Nun habe ich endlich eine Gurke dran, die wohl etwas wird, denn diese ist nun schon gut 10 cm lang. Ich hoffe, dass diese noch schön weiter wächst und vielleicht wird aus den anderen auch noch was. Schließlich soll die Sonne mehr scheinen und es soll wärmer werden. Es sind noch einige männliche Blüten, also winzige Gurken dran.
Radieschen habe ich heute auch wieder ein paar geerntet. Eine richtig große war darunter. Der Rest im Hochbeet muss noch wenig wachsen. Langt auch für den gemischten Salat, den wir gleich essen.
Meine Zucchini Pflanze wächst schön weiter. Die ersten Blüten sind schon zu sehen. Wird aber noch paar Tage dauern, bis diese sich öffnen.
Ich glaube, die untere Blüte auf dem Bild hat sogar eine Zucchini dran, ist also eine weibliche Blüte. Befürchte fast, dass diese aber offen sein wird und bis dahin keine männliche, sodass diese nicht bestäubt werden kann. Aber abwarten.

Lange ist es leider schon her, dass ich Müll aufgesammelt und hier gepostet habe. Muss aber auch sagen, dass schon lange kein Styropordeckel herumlag.
Das ist auch was Positives.
Auch wenn es nur die Verpackung eines Hörnchens, eine Dose und ein längliches Plastikstück waren, so hilft das doch unserer Umwelt.
