WELCOME TO MY BLOG
Hellooooo, hellooooo. My dear friends from Jewelry. We have already started the month of February and with it many celebrations. In my family we celebrate at least 20 birthdays, in addition to the celebration of Valentine's Day. So I have to make many details to give to all my loved ones. We begin with the first gift, for my aunt who is celebrating her birthday today, February 7th. It is worth mentioning that the women in my family are very flirtatious, although the truth is, I don't think I fall into this classification, but the rest are characterized by always being made up and dressed up from the time they get up until they go to bed.
Today's birthday girl is called Zonia Arelis, she is one of my dearest aunts, and I have learned many things from her, especially in the kitchen. She is a very happy woman since I met her and despite the fact that she is fighting a terrible illness and undergoing dialysis almost daily, at 74 years old she radiates joy, enthusiasm and a great desire to live. I hope that God keeps her for a few more years in this earthly world so that we can continue learning from her.
So to commemorate her 74th birthday I have made her these earrings with pearls and butterflies. They say that butterflies represent wisdom, freedom, joy, purity, transformation and the exploration of life's possibilities. And for me, she, my aunt Zonia, represents that and many other things. I hope that you like these earrings.
BIENVENIDOS A MI BLOG
Holaaaaa, holaaaa. Mis apreciados amigos de Jewelry. Ya iniciamos el mes de febebro y con él muchas celebraciones. En mi familia se celebran como mínimo 20 cumpleaños, además de la celebración del Día del Amor y la Amistad. Así que me toca hacer muchos detalles para obsequiar a todos mis seres queridos. Comenzamos con el primer regalo, para mi tía que está de cumpleaños hoy 07 de febrero. Cabe destacar, que las mujeres de mi familia son muy coquetas, aunque la verdad, yo creo que no entro en esta clasificación, pero el resto se caracterizan por estar siempre pintadas y arregladas desde que se levantan hasta que se acuestan.
La cumpleañera de hoy se llama Zonia Arelis, es una de mis tías más queridas, y de las que he aprendido muchas cosas, sobre todo en la cocina, es una mujer muy alegre desde que la conozco y a pesar que hoy lucha con una terrible enfermedad y es sometida a diálisis casi a diario, a sus 74 años irradia alegria, entusiasmo y muchas ganas de vivir. Espero que Diosito nos la guarde por unos años más en este mundo terrenal para seguir aprendiendo de ella.
Así que para conmemorar sus 74 años le he realizado estos aretes con perlas y mariposas. Dicen que las mariposas representan sabiduría, libertad, alegría, pureza, transformación y la exploración de las posibilidades de vida. Y para mí, ella, mi tía Zonia representa eso y muchas cosas más. Espero que estos aretes sean de su agrado.

- 16 pearls of 3 mm
- Pair of fishhooks
- 2 butterfly charms
- 2 rings of 5 mm
- Jewelry pliers
- Measuring tape

- 16 perlas de 3 mm
- Par de anzuelos
- 2 dijes de mariposa
- 2 aros de 5 mm
- Pinzas de bisutería
- Cinta métrica
STEP BY STEP // PASO A PASO
- We start by cutting 15 cm of N° 20 wire.
- With the conical pliers we will make a 4 cm ring and make a 2-turn rosary knot.
- Comenzamos cortando 15 cm de alambre N° 20.
- Con la pinza cónica haremos una aro de 4 cm y realizamos un nud de rosario de 2 giros.
- On each side of the wire we are going to insert 4 pearls of 4 mm.
- We close the pearls in a circle and make a rosary knot of 2 or 3 turns.
- En cada uno de los laterales del alambre vamos a introducir 4 perlas de 4 mm.
- Cerramos formando un círculo con las perlas y realizamos un nudo de rosario de 2 ó 3 giros.
Now we take one of the wires and form another 4 mm hoop.
We make a two-twist rosary knot and cut off the excess wire.
This is the base of our earring, we can make them with any other beads that we have on hand or that we like the most.
Ahora tomamos uno de los alambres y formamos otro aro de 4 mm.
Hacemos uno nudo de rosario de dos giros y cortamos el exceso de alambre.
Esta es la base de nuestro arete, podemos hacerlos con cualquier otro abalorio que tengamos a mano o que más nos guste.
- In one of the rings at the base of the earring we are going to insert one of the 5 mm hoops and a butterfly charm. With the flat pliers, we open and close the hoop and adjust it so that it does not come out.
- En una de las argollas de la base del arete vamos a insertar uno de los aros de 5 mm y un dije de mariposa. Con la pinza plana, abrimos y cerramos el aro y ajustamos para que no se salga.
Next, in the remaining ring of the base we place an earring hook.
And this way we have made the first earring, very easy, fast and very pretty. We make the second earring and we already have our pair of earrings to give to the birthday girl of the day.
A continuación, en la argolla restante de la base colocamos un anzuelo para aretes.
Y de esta forma ya hemos realizado el primer arete, muy fácil, rápido y muy lindos. Realizamos el segundo arete y ya tenemos nuestro par de aretes para regalarle a la cumpleañera del día.
