It may be late, but I wish everyone a merry Christmas! Are you still looking forward to and excited for the upcoming Holiday? As for, to be honest. I didn't feel much of the spirit of Christmas, not that I didn't appreciate the blessing I received, but it was far different when I was a kid, teen, young adult, and as to this day! The ambiance, even the atmosphere! Back then, when entering the month of September, the air breeze started to get colder. December, I find it hard to take a bath already, lol. Thus, now, I am waiting for that atmosphere to envelop the entire city. Or it was just that the countryside weather was different. I am getting older, and Christmas is only for kids. Now, it seemed like an ordinary day for me,
What I am looking forward to instead is a long day of rest! As mentioned, my work schedule changes from Monday to Saturday, six days a week, eight hours per day. Though it means an additional salary, it still makes me tired; a pregnancy thing.
I had yet to go home since October, but I knew, as expected, the roads were congested. Sitting on the bus too long would be a challenge, especially now;* I always had that call of nature.* Instead, I traveled on the morning of the 24th to see its smoothness.
The roads were almost empty, and it took only 2 hours to reach home. On other days, it takes up to 5-6 hours due to traffic.
Upon arriving home, I appreciate my sister-in-law for keeping it clean. While resting, I thought about what to prepare later for Noche Buena. While browsing on Facebook, I came across Kamangyan Vlog, flexing pork adobo. It was weird because I didn't like meat, but I craved fried pork chop! Without a second thought, I got up, went to the market, and bought some meat.
Here it was, and it went well with this sawsawan.
I had a good lunch, and my baby was satisfied.
Of course, I bought some fruits, healthy living and had something to put on the table.
Na, I just added those chocolates cause I wanted to. I also bought a lot of candies for the kids.
I loved how it looked, as it was so colorful, LOL. Want some potchi?
Afterward, I prepared small gifts for my husband, nephew, nieces, and mother.
Yeah, I know it seemed less effort but I can endure staying long outside for shopping. Also, some of them are already teens, so I don't know their preferences.
Last year, I was busy preparing everything since I was the host, hubby family side. This year, they didn't want to stress me, so the venue was at another sistersister's house. At first, I thought of cooking for lumpia Shanghai but ended up planning to fry some Ham later. However, laziness kicked me, and I ended up sleeping before the Noche Buena. A few hours earlier, I visited and checked what they would be preparing. But my baby didn't like all the foods, 😂 that is why I opted to go home and fell asleep.
Even the next day, they invited me to eat lunch. Do you know the feeling that several choices are on the table, but they need to look more appetizing? 🤣 All I wanted was salted fish sapsap to be exact!
Salted foods are not suitable for pregnant women, so I only fried four pieces enough to satisfy my cravings.
Though Nachos tasted better 😃, paired with soda. Nevermind the background, please.
How about you guys? How was Christmas at your end? I hope you all had a blast!
