RE: Goofiness and Grief

I think we would have gotten along well if we were in the same class haha, god, my school days were a bit wild too, my school was a bit rough, an all-boys catholic school, which little metalhead me hated, then eventually I realised that I could just not go in. My mate still laughs about how I'd not be in assembly but would stroll into class at 1:30, then maybe just be gone by the time our last one started. Then I dropped out completely at 17. As I got older I missed it.

Also, I'm so happy for growing up in the 90s /00s, we were 100% the last generation to truly be kids. Playing outside, staying out as late as we could telling ghost stories, or hanging out in our bases, sometimes overnight.

One of the things I miss most though is playing with/ making up scenes with my star wars figures, the imagination I had is something I've always tried to hold onto.

Hahaha I think we'd have been friends back then as well too! Although, we'd have probably given each other more ideas on how to get away with skipping, which is either good or bad depending on how you look at it 😂

I think it's way cool that we have this in common as well— perhaps creating these scenes is part of why we both love writing as adults? The more I think on it, it's like a live action freewriting exercise!

The 90's really were THE times, I like to think as 90's kids we can give some of the magic to our own children through experience... although the social norn of tech is a bit daunting now, sucks to feel like the lame parent for trying to get your kid off a screen... Have you any ideas on that with Kaleb yet as he grows up? It's something I'm perpetually stuck between ideas on myself with the 6 & 3 yr old 😩
