The capital city of Hong Kong this year is filled with snowy Christmas installations. After enjoying my virtual ice skiing at Snow Park at IFC, I headed to Landmark to see a pristine landscape, the Mount Santa Paws.
Amidst the Landmark Atrium is a snow-covered mountain with a huge Polar bear landscape. Atop of it are paw animals and a humble village with cute Arctic friends. This year's theme at Landmark Christmas installation is "Gift Of Each Other," so the installation shows togetherness and friendships. Above is like colorful Aurora floating. The Atrium is truly filled with festive vibe and cuteness.
Inspired by the winter scene at Arctic region, the landscape paint pristine beauty and serene stillness. A breathtaking beauty to behold. Looking at the installation, I felt as if I was somewhere in a snowy place and interacting with festive friends. They may not be real, but they could make you feel like they are and you are in a winter wonderland.
Isn't it fascinating to see icicles hang from the eaves of village houses and chimneys? Villagers and animals are bundled up in warm clothing. They must be strong to handle the frigid temperatures. I once wish to live in a winter wonderland, and seeing this installation is like reliving my dream. And once again, I wish to live in places like New Zealand, Japan, Korea, and other countries with snow.
It seems like Arctic creatures in Mount Santa Paws have a lot of things to have fun that kids at Landmark also enjoyed. Adventures include Alpine adventure ski lift, and Slip N' Slide have ski boards available for rent. There are cable cars overhead riding around the snowy mountain.
Kids could level up their adventure through riding the snowy sled slide. This is the most exciting part in Mount Santa Paws. Only for kids, though. I wished my nieces and nephews were here. They would definitely love the place.
Meanwhile, Santa Paws Ski Chalet is another attraction guarded by giant doggie and polar bear. Unfortunately, not all can enter the place as there's an admission fee. The fee include the rides and snowballs smash up above this snowy mountain.
Santa's sled is outside, though, where people queue just to have selfies on it. I did want but I was impatient to queue.
Inside the chalet is a cozy Christmas setting with some Arctic friends on the attic.
Before leaving the place, I saw a bear mascot having selfies with visitors, so I queued as I wanted to have a souvenir shot with him too.
It was a wonderful visit to Mount Santa Paws. I may not be able to visit places with real snow, but this kind of snowy installation put smile on my face. And I hope someday, I'll be able to visit a real winter wonderland and ski at its pristine landscape.
Happy #WednesdayWalk everyone. Enjoy your day ☺️.
