It's another hot day, but that's no excuse to stay indoors in the air conditioning. I grab my trusty trowel and put on some good music and get to work!
Every June I clean out all the weeds under the hedge. Small and large Canadian Thistles, Nightshade Vines, Bind Vines, Baby Maple Trees, etc.
Before
It doesn't look great, so I make it a project every summer.
After
I pull up all the weeds and vines and it looks much better.
So satisfying! It took a few afternoon hours, but it was worth it!
We now have a fresh pile of compost started, full of old discarded weeds. How great it is to turn unwanted plants into high-quality dirt for our garden!
By the end of the summer, we'll have a fresh pile of compost to put on the garden! Taking kitchen scrap garbage and weeds and making a use out of them.
