Oh boy, Monday! Just like that, Christmas day is over! Reality beckons but my mind is far, far away. As far as I'm concerned, I'm on holiday already. LOL! Well, it's back to work for me. Thankfully, it was an easy day, as I'm not the only one on holiday mode. 😂🙃
Well, aside from Mom's homemade spaghetti recipe -- my daughter has mastered it, so she was the one who prepped it for Christmas eve dinner. Well, in our case, it's our Christmas meals. In addition, this year we added something new -- ebi tempura. She found a seller online that delivers the raw meals, so we ordered some seafood ingredients early last week.
The tempura was truly yummy! It was so worth ordering. There's another variety that we alternately prepared for Christmas eve and Christmas day. It was tempura but coated with mozzarella cheese. Both went well with our traditional spaghetti.
Now, it's time for the desserts. In the past, my daughter would make homemade ones. She didn't exactly have enough time nor energy this year. We decided to go for commercial ones. It was leche flan for the noche buena.
For Christmas day, it was mango tango. Both were acceptable but a little too commercial for my taste. But hey, I'm not complaining. At least, we enjoyed some desserts. 😋😉
Too early to rest as the New Year is right around the corner. We do have traditions we still adhere to in prepping for New Year's eve. Admittedly, the celebration has lost much of its spark -- literally as fewer fireworks have been seen. Time was when the welcoming of the New Year would last an hour. Now, you'll be lucky to see thirty minutes of fireworks. LOL! It will be another quiet one for sure for me and my daughter. We'll focus more on feeding the kitties treats for the holidays.

I'm also done with daily surf on TAB. Glad I could finish the surfing early. I just got delayed with writing the post, as I had to go out and buy more kitty food from the neighborhood convenience store. After that, I got a bit tired and napped a bit.

I'm more excited to count down for the New Year. I guess what I'm more looking forward to is the anticipated days of rest. I'll find out more in the next few days.
I've been trying to clear out a few areas here and there. I have lots left to do in really fixing the flat. I still feel it's cluttered. I need to further simplify. One day at a time I guess, so I won't feel too overwhelmed. It's this last week of the year when I feel I need more reflective time. That helps me be more creative in finding solutions. Oh well!
