The family play a very important role in our life, no matter we live in a small family or in a large family, all matters is the love, care and support we received form our loved ones. The word family is all bout binding and keep us together and ultimately we do what ever we can do to support and safeguard our families. For some one the family may be the kids and their parents only but for me it's it's parents and grandparents also. The family is a place where we share our happiness and also share our sorrows. I remember one sentence which my mother away say - the brother and sisters are like arms to the body, as the arms are important part of body, similar the brother and sisters are also important part of our life. Their are many activities which are difficult and sometimes impossible to do without the arms and bother and sister play the similar role in our lives . In India we have the monogamous family culture but I know in many countries they follow the polygamy family. I do not want to hurt anyone's feelings and it's all about the law and religion thing to have a single wife or multiple wives, but for me I am happy with my wife and like to be monogamous. It's also myth that only polygamy has big family, even monogamous families also have more kids, it's all about the family planning and personal choices. An dyes some time it's restricted by the local laws also. Like in some countries, they do not directly force the law to have less children but indirectly the laws enforcing the couples to restrict to limited kids only,
I have a nuclear family and the main reason for the same is my job. I am away form the home town for job so I am living away form my family. After the marriage my wife was also living with me, and for some time were were two members in our family. We become two to three after the birth of our daughter. After my kids birth we were still living away form my home town for almost three years. Fortunately I got transferred near to my home town and that was the moment when my mother also joined us but still she do not stay with us for a long time as she loves the village life more then the crowded city life. She keep visiting us and stay with us like two weeks and then go back to our village for two weeks. So after getting transfer near to my home town we are still a small family. The good news is we are expecting baby in coming months so that will raise the family count by one. We are not planning for any other baby but who knows what is in future lol. May be we will change our mind but all this will be when we both (me and my wife) will be on one agreement.
The small families has their own advantages as compare to the large families and vice versa also. Finance play a very crucial role in family planning. In my opinion we should plan for the number of kids as per our financial conditions, it does not good if I have four - five children and I do not have sufficient money for the good growth, to fulfill their wishes, and its does not worth if I do not able to give them proper food and education. Yes if I am financially so strong that I am in a position to have more kids then also I will not go beyond the two or three numbers only. In past when the medical was not so good, many time parents lost their child in small age because of some illness. That was the big reason that the parents usually have more children and more member in the family also means that they have more work force. This is not the case now days.
