The History is a subject which throw light on our past, here our past means the past of a community, a past of a generation, a past of a country etc. The subject teach us who were our ancestors, how the live, what the do and many more. It also tell us the achievements and the downfall or mistakes done in past by our elders. The more we dig the more we come to know about them. History is not like science that we have no investment something it's about the invention happened in the past, who done I and when. The information is very important to remind us and to make us feel proud, no doubt it can be situation of embarassment also because of some incidents which was not so good or have negative effect in past.
In India we have history subject form class 6th onwards and have dedicated stream also for higher education. The subject tell us the history of time when the King and Queens were ruling the lands. How some specific region was captured by some dynasty and how they fight with each other to expand their boundaries. And how the British captured the country and rules for more then 100 years, and how the great people of country took stand and break the slavery and get the freedom. It's very intresting and very give us a proud moment where I read or listen to a story of any of the freedom fighter. This remind us that the freedom has comes with cost of many lives and we should honour them and always thing positive and for the betterment of the country.
No doubt the history is one which attach is to our roots. So it must be the part of curriculum and all students must read the subject so that they also learn for the past. We human being do many mistakes and some time such mistakes cost too much. Form history we learned such mistakes also and we can avoid such mistakes in future. Along with mistakes the history also tells us the good work done in past which give very positive results for next generations and such incidents are motivation for all of us.
I always feel proud and become sad also whenever I read the piece of history form our freedom fight. Few days ago,my kids school organised a annual function. One perform form the event make the event memorable for all of us. A group of students play a drama which was based on the some historical moments form our freedom fight. All the students played it very well and one thing was must that was known of the subject then only you can perform and make such events sucessful. The moment the play started and till end the all audience was feeling attached to it. You much understand the values and the characters very well to perform in such events and I am sure the kids performed well because there were aware of the history very well.
The history as mentioned is the means we feel attached to our culture and the roots. I always enjoyed when our elders tell us the story form past and our culture. The Indian is land of festivals and most of the festival are based on the agricultural and some historical event. Like the festival of lights - Diwali has history and celebrate in all religions as every religion has some history attached to this day. The history has wast known and the source of experience also. We learned good lesson form the mistakes done by our ancestors and try to avoid such mistakes in our time.
