Espero que se encuentren bien y felices, queridas ladies. Un gusto participar nuevamente en la iniciativa semanal y también aprender de todas ustedes que se animan a participar semanalmente compartiendo sus opiniones y reflexiones. Esta semana me llamó la atención la segunda pregunta que cuáles eran mis hábitos para mantenerme saludable a pesar de tener una agenda ocupada.

Estar ocupada es lo más fácil del mundo para mi. Algo que se me dificulta mucho es estar desocupada y he aprendido (a los golpes) que es algo muy necesario para mantenerme sana y en paz. Entre lo que he aprendido que me funciona para relajarme esta:

1. Oír música

20 minutos de mi playlist actual me garantizan que estaré en paz con el universo y que podré pensar mejor las cosas. Mientras oigo música mi cerebro toma un descanso y me ayuda a obtener mejores soluciones o ideas más creativas para mis proyectos.


2. Hacer lettering

Esto, aunque forma algo de mi día a día ya que trabajo con ello, es algo que puede desconectarme de todo. El solo hecho de usar lápiz, papel y goma para hacer un boceto cualquiera, me permite desconectarme de lo que sucede a mi alrededor para concentrarme en lo que dibujo, los trazos y los detalles. Es un ejercicio que me permite mantenerme en el ahora.

3. Ver el techo

Dirán que me volví loca, pero no. En medio de todas las preocupaciones, obligaciones y rutinas diarias, a veces tenemos que tomarnos un momento para acostarnos y ver el techo, o la pared, o el cielo y enfocarnos solo en eso. Dejar que nuestra espalda descanse, nuestros músculos se suelten y respirar hondo mientras vemos a la nada. Hacer nada es necesario.

Estas son algunas de las cosas que hago para desconectarme, sentirme mejor en mi día a día y mantenerme saludable. Espero que a alguna más le funcione.

I hope you are well and happy, dear ladies. It is a pleasure to participate again in the weekly initiative and also to learn from all of you who are encouraged to participate weekly by sharing your opinions and reflections. This week I was struck by the second question that asked me what my habits were to stay healthy despite having a busy schedule.

Being busy is the easiest thing in the world for me. One thing I have a hard time with is being unoccupied and I have learned (the hard way) that it is something that is very necessary to keep me healthy and at peace. Among what I have learned that works for me to relax is:

1. Listening to music.

20 minutes of my current playlist guarantees that I will be at peace with the universe and that I will be able to think things through better. While listening to music my brain takes a break and helps me get better solutions or more creative ideas for my projects.


2. Lettering

This, even though it is part of my day to day life since I work with it, is something that can disconnect me from everything. Just using pencil, paper and eraser to make a sketch allows me to disconnect from what is going on around me to concentrate on what I am drawing, the strokes and the details. It is an exercise that allows me to stay in the now.

3. Seeing the ceiling

You'll say I've gone crazy, but I haven't. In the midst of all the worries, obligations and daily routines, sometimes we need to take a moment to lie down and look at the ceiling, or the wall, or the sky and focus on just that. To let our back rest, our muscles let go and take a deep breath as we look at nothingness. Doing nothing is necessary.

These are some of the things I do to disconnect, feel better in my day to day life and stay healthy. I hope it works for someone else.
