While it may be understandable that more and more Hivers may be powering down Hive to pay their bills it's getting discouraging knowing SHOULD more Devs and Whales are doing the same or abandoning the blockchain for greener fields.
My offline financial affairs are good so I am far from trouble, I'm staying on Hive! I'm only powering down some HBD to take advantage of buying Hive on the cheap,

Yeah, seeing the 2021 .25 spring bottom break is a bummer. .25 held after FTX crash and Bitcoin 15K bottom. Now Bitcoin up 4X plus from there and we are lower same period. It’s a bummer but the data showed it weeks ago. A lot of power downs and selling compared to opposite side.
It sucks to see Hive down and I agree that the volume isn't really that large. I also think that an all time high isn't very likely. It might be possible but I don't think alt season will be as large because of the BTC ETFs.
Good analysis, Gene. I bought a lot at .27, and I'll be buying more soon. I do believe in Hive. I keep reading that we are safe for HBD until or unless Hive falls to .07, at which time the interest on HBD would stop. But I think that is based on the haircut rule—I don't know how the account selling or buying Hive to maintain that peg would affect things.
It is interesting that Steem is also doing similar things. It could be manipulation.

Yup , I don’t look at steem often but very very similar moves indeed. Has been for a while. Generally though we are way down from the average crypto on top couple hundred. I’m gonna take bites and hope for the best, but if we pump above .30 plus I think it might be a fake out before a final bottom. We will see indeed.
Good to know HBD shouldn’t be affected even at .15 cents or so. I don’t see .07 happening but .15 I easily do.
