Great post Edgerik! Investing in HIVE is an awesome thing to do and I love the diversity of our community!
I really love Bill Gate's quote: "We make the future sustainable when we invest in the poor, not when we insist on their suffering." Thank you for this quote Edgerik. This is definitely the right way to think about the poor people.

Right now in our country and not to far from where I live is a terrible attitude about the homeless population. Something needs to change and the terrible attitudes or comfortable people have to change.

I live 100 miles from Seattle WA and Burien WA (I use to live in Burien most of my life) and there are now about 53000 homeless people now. The attitude is to move them out of the city and get rid of them as quickly as possible. I couldn't help but hear it on the news, and I needed to listen to what happened to Burien City Council. One man got fired, a volunteer and 11 people resigned because the nice volunteer that got fired because he was helping move the homeless camp to another place in the Burien City because they had to get out of where they were. Anyway it is heart breaking how people that have everything treat the homeless and I am praying for them now. They fired him for helping move them. It's an impossible situation with the attitudes of some people.

I completely agree with you that the attitude towards the homeless population needs to change. It's important to remember that everyone deserves to be treated with kindness and respect, regardless of their situation. Instead of turning a blind eye or shaming those who are homeless, we should work towards finding solutions and support for them. It's not an easy issue to solve, but with a little bit of empathy and effort, we can make a difference in someone's life. Let's start spreading kindness and understanding.

Yes, thank you @edgerik I am so upset and disgusted by what people say about them. People think that all of the homeless are drug addicts and criminals but this is not true. I feel really bad for very innocent homeless people that get caught in-between all of this. There are some bad homeless people that steel and harm others but there are homeless working families that cannot afford the high prices of everything because they are unfairly underpaid. Yes something has got to change something has to give way to an entirely new type of people or something - new brain waves. It's so frustrating and upsetting. Thanks for your positive outlook.
