Get your Bible, get this revelation, let's walk in
So Jesus just told his disciples, get on that boat and cross the other side of the lake. And they was like, okay, God, we're going to go.
They leave Jesus, the wind and the waves start to turn and toss. And at three o'clock in the morning, Jesus come walking in them on the water. The disciples saw this and they're like,it's three o'clock in the morning.
This man walking on the wind and waves, that can't be God. Jesus was like, yes it's me, it's me. So then Peter, who's so big and bold, was like, Lord, if it's really you, let me walk to you on the water. The moment that Peter's faith changed, so did his mode of transportation.
You got to understand that when your faith elevates, so does the way that you travel. Jesus said, yes, come. And he went from a boat where he was floating to walking on his feet on the water.
So once Peter's desired destination changed from across the lake to Jesus on the water, then his faith changed and now he's walking on what he should have been floating on. The miracle became what Peter was able to walk on.
I know it's been uncomfortable walking on things. You used to float on this season, but your faith elevated. A lot of us are driving places that we could fly, but we don't have the faith to believe that we can do it.
Notice that the miracle of transportation did not change until Jesus was present. That miracle could have never been possible if Jesus was not walking on that water to Peter first. Jesus has already paved the way to every destination that you're trying to reach.
When Peter started walking on water, the distance to the other side of the lake still didn't change. In fact, he probably would have gotten there slower walking to the other side of the lake instead of rowing on the other side of the lake.
He didn't get there faster, but he did have an encounter. What if Jesus commanding us to go to another side of something was not how quickly we could get there,
but the encounter that we had with him on the way there?
