A Quiet Afternoon - Monomad Challenge.

DSC_0327_1.jpg

Greetings friends, I hope you are well. Today I want to share with you some shots that are related to the previous post, It is impossible to take a walk and take random photos, it is always structured in my mind as to classify my captures. There are certain photos that are exclusively in color and others in black and white, I think I pay more attention to the latter... For me, black and white deserves more attention and details in composition.

So I will prepare this set of street photography in the Recoleta neighborhood that in my opinion has more impact with the absence of colors.

It was shortly after noon, there were not many people on the streets and the afternoon was very quiet, in fact this area is. I remember using two lenses at that time, I had the 50mm and the 70-300mm on hand but when I arrived I wanted to capture landscapes with tiny people in the frame. Some urban planning or trees, buildings, cars or buses but there must also be one or a maximum of three people there.

That's why these first shots except for the first one. Here we see the law school building, some people standing at the exit of the subway station, others walking on the avenue and that cyclist captured while I was standing over the bridge.

These two people are climbing the pedestrian bridge and in the background you can see the large trees and a little of the buildings.

I loved this shot in particular, I think it's because I see it as very minimalist in a certain sense. I was in Thays Park, in the background the giant, imposing faculty building and that tiny person alone, sitting on the grass. I found it a very interesting composition.

I also have a few different photos that I wanted to share that I find visually appealing. This bicycle rental station, all of them piled up and seen from this angle caught my attention. I decided to add a lot more contrasts in this photo especially.

Finally, I leave you a couple of photos of a part of the front of the law school building, where its details, textures, columns, windows and lanterns stand out. I think I was standing in the same place when I decided to take both horizontal and vertical photos. It is a great work of architecture and very iconic in the city of Buenos Aires.

I just remembered that it is no longer possible to bring cameras to do productions or sessions there, a real shame because I had planned to work there with a model. I'll have to look for another place with a similar aesthetic.

If you liked these photos, do not hesitate to leave me a comment, I will appreciate reading you ;)
