Today, while working airside at Gatwick Airport, I spotted a patch of wild yellow flowers. I can't recall ever seeing these before, so I took a few photos before searching online for information about them.
The closest match I could find is Linaria vulgaris, "butter and eggs"
A very pretty wild yellow flower and one that caught my eye because it is blooming so late in the season. I will keep my eyes peeled for more of these as I travel around the airport fringes and verges.
My shift today was as active as ever, and only one more day to work now before some time off! 😁
