Another fine example of a giant sequoia but more frequently known here in England as the Wellingtonia. I have seen many of these trees around the local area. They all seem to be about the same size so probably planted fairly close in time by wealthy land owners at the start of the twentieth century.
My days work was extra long as I started an hour early to help out with scheduling. The business is now planning for the upcoming season and new contracts will begin very soon.
Our transport department is now recruiting too which is welcome news and is further evidence of the workload to come. This all still seems a long way off however, as I will not be back doing what I was employed for for another month at least. 🙁
