This is a charity post for the clinic clowns in town. I'll donate the number of HP I'll receive from this post to the clinic clowns at a 1:1 rate. E.g. if the payouts are 1HP I'll donate 1€ if the payouts are 10HP I'll donate 10€, and so on. So now it's up to you.
In addition I'll ad 1€ to the donation for every new follower (max 100) from now until the next seven days.
Now the rules are set. Enjoy reading and watching the pictures. 😀
We had a charity duck race in town yesterday. The biggest part of this actifit post will be about that. My started at midnight while still dancing at the students party.
Getting up early was a bit hard but worth it. We met in the early morning for some beachvolleyball matched. Summer is very hot right now and doing sports in the afternoon isn't really possible.
We played until 11. I went home for a short break and some food. And headed to the duck race.
Now we are coming to the main part of this post.
The charity duck race is held every year in summer. I guess you've heard about charity duck races before. Duck races being organized all over the world. It's a kind of a lottery. Every duck is lot. If you wanna take part in the race you buy a lot. Every duck has a number on its bottom. This number is your lot number.
If you're the lot owner with the number of the first duck at the finish you'll win the main prize.
Th race is starting with a countdown and all the ducks are thrown into the river.
From now the race is open and the ducks starting their journey to the finish line.
It happens quite offen that the ducks get stuck at some brunches, stones or whatever else obstacles. I freed them after I took the picture of the ducks above. 😀
But it was not only me helping the ducks. Many people are in the river or next to the river and supporting the ducks.
I found it funny that real ducks met rubber ducks in the river.
After a passage of slow floating water the interesting part began. I used the passage to take a picture of the leading duck.
It's really a nice event for children and even for adults. It was funny to watch people having fun with the ducks.
This part of the race was the hardest. The had to go trough the fish ladder. But so many people helped them. Even young firefighters with a water pump helped them over the ladder.
Here I met one of the clinic clowns. He also was helping the ducks and cheering people.
He is on of the clowns who is supported with the race. I had a few words with him. I'm sure he's doing a wonderful job in the hospital. It was funny to talk to him and I guess he is giving children a good time.
My last picture is from the end of the race. The organisers collect all the ducks who got stucked and would not be freed from spectators.
Unfortunately I had not enough time to go to the finish and wait until the winner arrived. But nevertheless the winners are the clinic clowns while getting so much awareness for her wonderful work at the hospital.
Here comes the last part of the report. I had an appointment at a beachvolleyball tournament to support some friends of mine.
I was more than happy not playing the tournament. In the meantime temperatures had risen above 30°C. And I was happy to have a watermelon and a drink while watching the matches.
We spent the evening at another beachvolleyball field located at a lake and had food and drinks there. The cloud looked a bit like thunderstorm but nothing happend as it was to far away.
After all I had a super active and beautiful summer day and collected over 16000 steps 😀
Thanks for reading and if you want Follow me it's for a good reason 😀
