Praying The Proper Way. MCGI TOPIC REVIEW.

in MCGI Cares Hive11 days ago

There are many things we are doing which are not actually right according to the doctrines of God as given to us by His Son Jesus Christ. For instance, many of us still indulge in secret sins thinking that God will just overlook them without any damning consequences. We take God for granted in many things that we are doing in the church of God.

When I first listened to the session of the Mass Indoctrination, I was shocked with the insight which Bro Eli Soriano unfolded about the subject of prayer. We have been observing different prayer sessions in churches thinking that we were actually praying to God. But this teaching revealed to me that most of those prayers were just like playing.

Bro Eli made us to understand that we should avoid praying with a heart that is full of offenses. He reminded us through the scriptures that God will not answer the prayers of a sinner, Proverbs 15:8 (KJV) The sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination to the LORD: but the prayer of the upright is his delight.

Also, we also learned that we should stop the practice of vain repetitions in our prayers. Most of us pray some kind of beat-counting type of prayer. Bro Eli told us that our God is not dull in hearing. Matthew 6:7 (KJV) But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.

Another thing I vividly remember is that coming to God should not be hypocritical. God hates hypocrisy. Matthew 6:5 (KJV) And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.

In this video, Bro Eli Soriano takes us more deeper into how we can pray rightly.
According to the scriptures (Philippians 4:6 (KJV) Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.) we are to pray with thanksgiving. We should approach God with thanksgiving. We should make our prayers with thanksgiving in our hearts unto God.

Also in Hebrews 11:6 (Hebrews 11:6 (KJV) But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.) we should have faith in the God we are coming to. We should believe that He will reward us who are seeking Him and answer our prayers. James 1:6 (KJV) But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.
