Maria Luisa Park in Seville. One of the best parks in Spain.

During my last visit to the city of Seville I was able to enjoy the magnificent Maria Luisa Park, a large park where the beauty of the buildings inside the park had a great impact on me.

But a park is not a place to see buildings, it is a place to enjoy nature and for me nature is to enjoy the different species of birds that usually live in the parks such as the pigeons.

Many of these creatures are hated, but I love them, especially when they are concentrated and calm, allowing you to approach them without scaring them away.

María Luisa Park, being very extensive, is in itself a cluster of parks with different types of ponds. Some are as curious as this one with frogs spouting water from their mouths.

However, the most beautiful ponds are those where various waterfowl such as swans and ducks live.

Some of them amuse themselves by picking at their back feathers. Don't think you're scratching your bum, but these birds have a gland in their tails whose secretion they pick up with their beaks to smear all over their feathers.

Another feathered friend I made in the park was a duck that allowed me to get very close. The photo was taken on the duck island.

And as a culmination in this park I can only tell you that in one of its margins is the Plaza de España of Seville. A very beautiful place.

And where it is easy to travel back in time watching carriages go by.

And where a street flamenco show can surprise you.
