I first posted about my foray into Raid: Shadow Legends last week. I posted up a screenshot of my Arena team. I wasn't quite happy with how it was faring against some teams, but kept working to train new champions.
The Payoff
Since then, they did a Summon Boost event and I pulled a pretty good Epic named Gorgorab. He heals, boosts my team's attack and their turn meter, and can revive dead allies. As an added bonus, his aura grants my team a 23% speed boost in Arena, which is a huge help!
It took a lot of time and mind-numbing campaign grinding to get him to level 50, and to also get him to level 5 Ascension. I still need to Ascend him one more time, but he's already making a noticeable difference.
I also finally advanced enough that I can now unlock souls for my champions. I was able to awaken Chronicler Adelyn to level 5, which meant I could addedna bonus blessing on her. Not only does the blessing massively boost her stats, but allows her to a huge amount of bonus damage!
Consistency and Persistence
All of the progress wouldn't have been possible without going through a lot of mindless grinding in campaigns I've played in the past. It's not glamorous or fun, but the rewards and enjoyment from sticking to the plan are worth it.
The same can be said with Hive. If you're consistently showing up, writing and interacting, you'll see the rewards for your efforts. It can be boring, and at times you may feel like not doing anything. I was at a loss of what to write today, up until I started thinking back on where I started with this game, comparing it to how far I've come, and making comparisons to my journey on Hive.
Keep showing up. Keep interacting with others. Commit to it, see it through, and you'll look back and see not just how far you've come in terms of HP, HBD, rewards, etc., but how much fun you've had and the friendships you've made along the way.
