People often say that it is useful to change your outlook on life and that what seemed valuable to us before becomes ringing copper and gold it requires a thorough search in the depths of your mind and this search can continue for a long time and well when it is crowned with success.
So, for many years during my childhood and youth I went to my parents' dacha and helped them work in the garden but then I considered it a boring activity and always strove to return to the city.
Many years had to pass before some switch worked and I came to the realization of that genuine freedom that can only be felt living outside the stuffy city.
This happened not so long ago, probably in 2015, when having weighed all the pros and cons I brought to the forefront the goal of settling in the village and my wife and children fully supported me in this it is nice to have such like-minded people this is happiness.
Step by step I approached my goal and achieved some results in this direction, but since this series of my posts is about drawings, and not about agriculture I will say that when I started drawing with graphite pencils on paper at the end of 2022, many of my drawings followed the theme of rural life.
One of these drawings, completed in January 2023, I want to present to you today and let it be called "Rural Life".
As I already said for a morally unprepared person, rural life can seem boring it is sometimes accompanied by unpleasant smells, unnecessary noise when domestic birds and animals scream water in the well, firewood in the yard a lot of things that are unfamiliar to you in the city and seem anachronistic.
But when you see how the plants in your garden grow how the trees you planted begin to bear fruit how the animals in your yard react to your presence how you have collected the first harvest from your hives all this changes the idea of boredom there is no time to be bored here lol.
The village is a special space where you will always find something to do even if you are not a confident agarian but a photographer.
But, since I am now far from the village and it was so when I drew this drawing the village is an excellent soil for improvisation and the realization of fantasy on paper in the form of a drawing.
It is difficult to convey in words how much I miss my village where I have land and a house is being built but while I cannot get there I can fantasize.
Having finished working on this drawing I had the feeling that I had personally visited the village watered the cows fed the chickens millet and chased the impudent goat from the tree branches.
As during life in the village the result of the artist's work is to put his work in a folder like a harvested crop that is hidden in bins or in a cellar until better times.
So my collection of drawings was replenished with another work and you can get acquainted with my other previous drawings by clicking on the links to my posts below.
