Morning with prayer: Day twelve. From bitter to sweet.
Glory to our Lord Jesus Christ for the sacrifice made on the cross of Calvary and for the opportunity, upon waking up, to understand that I am under the protection of the Lord who loves us.
I will be honest, yesterday evening and before I made coffee I did not understand what this post would be about there were many thoughts but they were not formed into something that could be considered as a single thing.
But when I sipped a cup of coffee I felt its bitter taste and realized that something was not as planned.
Before pouring coffee into a cup from a copper Turk I pour three teaspoons of sugar into the cup and another half lol and here the coffee was bitter.
All I did not do was stir the sugar with a spoon, and it was so easy.
Having done this, I realized that life is good and it is good to live lol because now I have enhanced the taste of coffee with sugar and got the desired result.
You know it is like a cyclist trying to climb a hill in a high gear pedaling a bicycle the pedals turn easily, but the bicycle stands still and does not want to climb the hill.
You need to switch gears if we have them and we definitely have them the Lord took care of this.
What I am saying is very individual, because for example my wife and daughter like to drink bitter coffee without sugar and in my case coffee with sugar is the most correct illustration of the thought.
The main thought that visited me today was the thought that the Lord gives us both bitter and sweet He has everything we need for happiness but sometimes we forget to use a teaspoon to mix it and our prayer is such a mixer.
Prayer gives us new sensations and a new understanding of how delicious the Word of the Lord can be!
There was a time when I did not understand the taste of hot pepper but then almost half a century later I realized how delicious it is and I cannot imagine lunch and dinner without a fire on the table.
So when you taste the taste of prayer you understand all its subtle notes of taste then you understand that there is nothing sweeter in the world prayer is sweeter than a honey plum that seems to explode now because of its ripeness and sugar content.
Without faith you are unlikely to be able to find sweetness in something bitter.
But there is another option, which is mentioned in the Revelation of the Apostle John the Theologian 3:15 Apocalypse, where it is said about those who are neither hot nor cold the amorphous state of the human soul, a baptized person who seems to believe in God but somehow half-heartedly has dedicated himself to God, but does not hold tightly to His word such a person will be rejected from the mouth of the Lord.
For a visual example you can look at a pear, which, some of its varieties seem sweet, but at the same time, they are so tart that your cheekbones cramp because of the tartness and they are so hard that there is a danger of leaving your teeth in the pulp of this pear.
It is not for nothing that there is a proverb "the pear hangs, but you can't eat it."
Blessed day to all!
I have already prayed and praised the Lord for everything for me this is the right start to the day.
If you have never addressed God in prayer before, you can always try to do so and taste all the sweetness of communication with the Creator!
